for me, i would prefer to use the google search compare to the google scholar. i received more results in the google search(search engine). importantly, google have more relevant results compared to the google scholar. further more, the results that google scholar get for me are most in medical terms without explaining. I wouldn't understand much through it. thus, i would prefer using the google search.
If you were to were to click to see the print screen for better view, u can see that the result that google scholar vs the google, you will that the results that google scholar given me are not so relevant compare to google with is more relevant. thus i prefer google.
In today lecture, I learn that there are different types of purpose for Internet resources.
there are also different types of blogs. Organization VS Personal. In our research using an article from organization will be more credible. We are also taught how to see the differences between these two.
Today we are suppose to chose a topic to do my part 1 research on. and my chosen topic is Discuss the effect of smoking on women's health.
Actually all along, i dislike cigarettes. i also do not understand since smoking damage people health but why people continue smoking and even smoking more heavily. I often tell people who smoke around me that smoking is bad for health. but they once tell me, since when cigarettes can cause death or cancer.? there isn't and confirm up to now. It's all only a higher possibility to lead to various illness. now, with this topic, i can do a deep research and thus, next time when my friends were to smoke I'll remind them with all the damage to their health physical. and even do a debate with them=D
In today lecture, we are ask to imagine if we were to have S$500. Through the Internet for business/ marketing, what are the products that we desired to have.

Today is the first day of our new module for EIR=D Before i start my blog let me do a self intro:)
I'm WENDY=D This is my 2nd year in Temasek Poly PID course. im 19 this year and my hobby is to watch dramas. i look like a Malay girl but im a 100% PURE CHINESE=D heeeee.
a lot of people seriously gt SHOCK and almost chock when they see and hear me speaking in Chinese. hahaha. so don't be shock. i don't want to be the caused of any heart attack.=D
This module is called Effective Internet Research. i was in luck to get my first choice. In my course in TP, Product and Industrial Design(PID) we will need to do tons of research's. And these researches are very important so that our design will not clash into other person design or that people's mistake, we will not make the same mistake. we will hand in even up too thousands over pages research. To research is easy. but to do a effective Internet research that is what I'm here for=D
I hope after this 1 month of EIR I'll be able to do my Internet research easily and more effective. getting the research that is revalent and help me in my every projects.
in today lecture, we were told all the assignments we got to do for this module. i had be exposed to online forums and wiki. only till today, i understand that wikipedia is call wiki which means combines of the public collaborative work regarding certain information. i always misunderstand it as a work from one or two authors only.
oh ya. not to forget forums. i had never once comment in any forum. it sound interesting. and from what i learn today, i guess forums is a very good place to get my research too=D (not to forget u go to the right forums and right questions.) i shall start searching for the right forums for my part 1 research=D
